I also missed Joel and MariBeth. I've got to get a new computer! But I did hear Dr. Reynalds and e-mailed him just now. I remember an interview on some TV magazine show of one of the young men convicted of killing a homeless man. When asked why they did it, he said one of his friends kicked the guy and then they all hit and kicked him. Again, the interviewer asked why. He said I guess it seemed fun at the time. He was serving 35 years. Fun. Sounded like they didn't even think of this homeless person as human, didn't care about any pain or suffering they might cause, even death.
